For those that care for a bit of snow and a run down the slopes in the warm Dubai, Ski Dubai is the answer. This 25000 square meters ski resort comes with an indoor ski area that allows visitors to go down the artificial ski slopes despite the hot weather outside.

Ski Dubai is located in one of the largest and most attractive malls in Dubai, the Mall of the Emirates. This means that visitors can literally kill two birds with one stone, relax and literally chill a bit on the ski slope and then warm up with a shopping frenzy.

The Ski Dubai was developed by Majid Al Futtaim Properties, which is the same company that operates the majestic Mall of Emirates. It was opened in November 2005.

Ski Dubai is the first indoor ski resort in the Middle East, bringing 22500 square feet of snow for all ski lovers or for those who simply want to chill a bit.

The Ski Dubai has been designed with 5 slopes that vary in terms of difficulty, height and angle, with the longest run having a length of 400 meters and a height difference of 60 meters. The slopes have been designed to cater to the needs of all, from beginners who will practice their simple slides to advanced skiers that will have the opportunity to taste the world's first black run.

But not only skiers will enjoy this magnificent white land. Snowboarders can also run down the white slopes and even go for a couple of freestyle moves in the Freestyle Zone. Kids and their parents can also have a heap of fun in the interactive Snow Park. The 3000 square meter snow park will make sure that everyone enjoys the white snow as they ride on numerous sled and toboggan runs and even explore the mysteries of the snow cavern.

Don't Worry About Equipment

Now, as Dubai is mainly a sunbathing touristic spot, visitors would never have packed warm clothes, let alone ski equipment and clothes. This is not a problem, as at Ski Dubai visitors will find all that they need in order to fully enjoy their experience.
